407 Gallery

Located on the 4th floor of the Studio Arts Building, the 407 Gallery is both a laboratory for artists to experiment and a space to show your work. There are 2-3 exhibitions per semester. Exhibitions are open to any UW-Green Bay enrolled students, regardless of major. You can submit art in any medium, but all work must have been completed within the last 12 months and not submitted to a previous 407 exhibition.

Annual Juried Student Exhibition

The Annual Juried Student Exhibition is a showcase of current UW-Green Bay student artwork and a chance for the community to interact with our fantastic artists. With a rotating juror, each year brings a new spin and new look at what our program has to offer.

Awards & Sales

The juror of the exhibition designates awards based on merit, regardless of whether or not a work is for sale.

Senior Art Exhibitions

Step toward the transformation to your professional career with your Senior Art Exhibition. You'll be introduced to standard professional practices, display your most advanced artwork, inspire beginning students and shed light on our Art and Design programs.

Eligibility

Art and Design students with a senior standing at UW-Green Bay are able to participate in the Senior Art Exhibition.

Media

Approach your exhibit as a "mini solo" showcase in which the work(s) show a consistent style and a degree of technical mastery. Work shown should be recent and will be developed over the academic year working with your faculty advisor.

Timeline

If you graduate in Spring, plan to exhibit that Spring. If you graduate in Fall, you will exhibit the preceding Spring. The first meeting is the October before the show, watch your emails for more information.

Interns

As an intern for the Lawton Gallery, you might be designing exhibitions, hanging up artwork, giving tours in the gallery and more. You can earn 1 to 3 credits, and your internship is facilitated through an academic advisor.

Security Guards

Our guards are often the only people visitors will interact with at the Lawton Gallery, so your work is very crucial to keeping art alive. Responsibilities include answering the phone, minor cleaning and tidying, helping during events, protecting the artwork and displays, making sure that the gallery is open and accessible and monitoring and guiding visitors and occasional school groups.
