A Place to Ponder, Explore & Admire

1,700 square feet of artistic expression.

Art reveals hidden truths and invites us to explore life’s mysteries. As far as what’s “true art?” That’s for you to decide! And half the adventure of visiting the Lawton Gallery. Located in the heart of the campus, it offers a space for everyone. Stop in briefly, linger and reflect, or simply wander. What you experience may stir up discomfort, curiosity, joy or even frustration. But no matter what, it connects us—to ourselves, to others and to the world around us.

Art is Alive
On Campus

Discover our permanent collection.

The permanent collection, featuring around 1,000 pieces, reflects a rich blend of artistic contributions. It includes works donated by faculty, community members and the Art Agency, pieces gifted by graduating students from their Senior Shows and purchases intended to build our collection. Additionally, the Intercultural Center houses a unique collection of approximately 30 works by Indigenous artists, curated separately. You’ll find about two-thirds of the entire collection displayed across campus, offering a dynamic cultural experience for all. If you're interested in viewing a specific piece, please let the Curator of Art know at least 48 hours prior so we can make it available to you.
