Why does the Registry exist?
The Wisconsin Community-Based Care and Treatment Training Registry is a web-based, centralized and publicly accessible registry that approves, stores and maintains data records of required training for caregivers and instructors, in accordance with Department of Health Services (DHS) administrative code (DH 83) for Community-Based Residential Facilities (CBRF). State-mandated training includes Standard Precautions, Fire Safety, First Aid and Choking, and Medication Administration and Management.

Setting the
Standards
Training available for administrators and staff members.
In addition to core curriculum courses, UW-Green Bay also sets industry training standards in community-based care, creating courses that leverage university resources. We offer training in the areas of resident rights, client groups, challenging behaviors and task specific (DHS 83.21 and 83.22). Courses are self-paced, available online and updated regularly. Prerequisites may be required.

You asked for a more interactive learner experience, and we heard you.
After a successful pilot with test instructors and students, we are excited to announce that we are partnering with a virtual reality company to bring 2D technology to our four state-mandated CBRF training courses: Standard Precautions, Fire Safety, First Aid and Choking and Medication Administration and Management. A Quality Partnership
DHS partners exclusively with UW-Green Bay to host, manage and maintain the Wisconsin Community-Based Care and Treatment Training Registry for CBRF caregivers and instructors. Questions and concerns specific to CBRFs are handled by the Division of Quality Assurance at DHS.
