Help Our Society Flourish
Work for your community, not a corporation.
The world is full of strife: climate change is devastating the environment, gun violence continues to shatter communities and racial injustice invades all aspects of the U.S. These obstacles are constant. Another constant is people’s drive to make lasting change to help their communities through government agencies and nonprofits. With a degree in public administration, you’ll develop skills to create and implement public policy as leaders and managers in public and nonprofit organizations. With a career in human resources, fundraising, policy analysis and development, leadership and more, you will help shape your community's future.
Student Success
100% of our 2020 graduates are employed, continuing their education or both.
It's Only Here
Public administration degrees are rare. UW-Green Bay is the only school in the state to have both undergraduate and graduate degrees in public administration.
Online or in-Person
Our mission at UW-Green Bay is to make education accessible for everyone. If you need more flexibility, you can earn a public administration degree fully online.
Change Your World

College isn’t just about getting an education. It’s also about the relationships you forge along the way. Make connects in your major while gaining experience in our student organizations.
Elevate Your Education

Envision an Inspiring Career
You don’t just want to get a job; you want to help your community.
At UW-Green Bay, we’re career-oriented. We don’t just teach you theoretical knowledge. We teach you skills to prepare you for life after graduation. But deciding what career path you want to undertake is difficult – that’s why we encourage internships to get a taste of what job you want to do.

"Connor knew he wanted to go into public administration when he took time off after high school, volunteering to help after Hurricane Maria devastated Puerto Rico. “It was definitely an eye-opening experience. Our base used to be a school building, and so we were sleeping on air mattresses and bunk beds with no air conditioning. Seeing the conditions that people were living in – their roofs were leaking, a lot of them still didn't have power. They had mold growing in their homes. It was really impactful to be able to do something to help them.”
