Your Payment Helps Pave the Way

Permits ensures a usable and safe campus infrastructure for our community.

In addition to the over 34 acres of parking with 4,492 parking stalls available for use on campus, we maintain all campus roadways. The State doesn't provide tax money to the campus to construct or maintain parking lots and by law (Wis. Stats. 36.11(8)) a parking fee must be paid. These fees help to fund immediate and long-term campus infrastructure needs. Some of our projects in the recent past have included:

  • Studio Arts: $1,063,000
  • Kress Center: $960,000
  • The Weidner: $700,000 (Valet Lot & Pod A)
  • Walter Way: $750,000
  • The Weidner: $800,000 (Pods B & C)

Manitowoc, Marinette & Sheboygan Campus Free Parking

There is no fee to park at the UW-Green Bay campuses in Manitowoc, Marinette or Sheboygan. These campuses are operated in cooperation with the county in which they reside. Although they are UW-Green Bay institutions, the structures and land on which they operate aren't owned by the Universities of Wisconsin. As a result, there are no parking fees and maintenance for the lots defaults to the counties.
