Words stay with us–one sentence can change a life. With an emphasis in community outreach, you can tell untold stories and bring writing to the broader community.
Editing & Publishing
Ever wonder how an author seems to weave magic into their writing? Editing and publishing professionals play a big part. With this emphasis, you can become a copyeditor, content developer, comic book publisher or a promotional and marketing professional.
Professional & Technical Writing
Love writing and technology? From technical manuals and data visualizations to user interfaces and multimedia designs, professional and technical writers are critical collaborators found in the dynamic occupations of today and tomorrow.
Game Writing
Behind every game is a writer. In this emphasis, you will create compelling interactive experiences that explore robust worlds and dynamic stories.

Join our honor society, Sigma Tau Delta. Laugh and cry with our LGBTQ+ Book Group. Read your poems to a crowd or just sit back and enjoy the stories at Working Title Reading series. Kimberly Davis didn’t just find a career at UW-Green Bay – she found a calling: poetry. “I think what really sold English for me was my Women in Literature course. I wrote my first poem as my final. I had never written poetry before college.” Her creative writing has been featured in Creatures and Querencia magazines with other publications forthcoming.
