A Collective
Effort
Our program is a collaboration across Northeast Wisconsin.
This important work wouldn't be possible without the generous support of our partners. The Wisconsin DNR and the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation provide essential resources and technology, while local schools team up with students to gather crucial data. Together, we're making a real impact on our environment!

Brown County and the Baird Creek Preservation Foundation uses our data to measure the success of rural stream buffers on downstream water quality. The city of DePere used conductivity data from Ashwaubenon Creek to analyze the amount of salt going on local roadways. Students monitoring Dutchman Creek are part of a NEW Water project.
"Watershed health is a complex topic. The program has been wisely designed to provide the teachers (and subsequently their students) with a rich resource base not only in the equipment and procedures supplied, but especially in the training sessions, guest speakers, community field experiences, and the network of support and expertise that has been built between the teachers and university. Easily it has been the single most influential and enriching experience I've been involved with in my career."
