Clery Act
Cultivating a
Safe campus
The Clery Act ensures our students' safety.
The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act, otherwise known as the Clery Act, requires institutions of higher education to comply with certain campus safety- and security-related requirements as a condition of their participation in the title IV, HEA programs.

Three Key Requirements
Named for Jeanne Clery, a college student who was assaulted and murdered, the Clery Act includes three key requirements.
Campus Crime Data
We are required to share information about crime on campus and our efforts to improve campus safety as well as inform the public of crime in or around campus. This information is made publicly accessible through the our annual security report.
Support for Victims
Survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking have options such as changes to academic, transportation, or living or working situations, and assistance in notifying local law enforcement, if the student or employee chooses to do so. It also provides both parties in a campus disciplinary process certain rights.
Policies & Procedures
In order to be in compliance, we must specify policies and procedures within annual security reports, including those related to timely warnings and emergency notifications, options for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, dating violence and stalking, and campus crime reporting processes.
Stay Informed
Download GB Alert to get notified by text or email in the event of a campus emergency so you can stay safe on campus and be aware of emergencies.
For Campus Security Authorities (CSAs)
If you are a CSA, you are required to report crimes on campus. In addition to staying in compliance with the Clery Act, you're also helping to create a safer, more secure campus.
