TESL Programs

There are three different options that emphasize linguistics or Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) at UW-Green Bay:

  1. Minor in Humanities with a Linguistics/TESL Emphasis
  2. TESL Certificate
  3. Graduate TESL Emphasis in the MS program in Applied Leadership for Teaching and Learning

Since there are a number of different TESL programs to choose from, it is important to meet with the Linguistics/TESL adviser to determine what your specific career objectives are and which track will be the best fit for you.

Internship opportunities in TESL are also available through Literacy Green Bay or through other local organizations. UWGB also has an academic ESL program for English language learners, which has summer, fall and spring course offerings.
