Grants & Scholarships
Plan Well &
You'll Go Far
Making a budget (& sticking to it!) will make for a smoother journey abroad.
Learning and living in another country is an investment, just like your college degree. Often, your time abroad financially is similar to what you'd pay for your credits at UW-Green Bay through the help of financial aid and scholarships. If you want to study abroad, make sure you're planning ahead and making a budget to ensure you can enjoy your experience without financial headaches.
Apply for Scholarships
In addition to general UW-Green Bay scholarships, there are also specific study abroad scholarships available for you.
Get Advice From Financial Aid
Financial aid is available for studying abroad! In fact, the program may increase your overall charges and thus increase your aid.
Search for Outside Support
UW-Green Bay is not the end of financial support when you study abroad. Many organizations offer funding opportunities.
Program Costs
Too see specific costs, go to the "Cost & Funding" tab on each individual program page.
Semester Program
For exchange programs, you'll pay UW-Green Bay tuition. For direct enroll programs, you'll pay the tuition of your host university.
Short-Term Program
Short-term programs have an estimated cost of $4,500-$6,500. This cost breakdown is similar to semester programs and includes estimates of expected costs.
Faculty-Led Travel Course
Most faculty-led travel courses have an estimated cost of $4,000-$8,000. These are generally inclusive of ALL costs except some meals and personal spending. Costs are based on a minimum number of students and can vary widely depending on location and duration.
Student Teaching
Costs differ based on country and length of student teaching, so consult program pages for the most accurate total. For Mexico, programs are about $6,500 for 9 weeks and about $11,000 for 18 weeks. International programs are about $11,500 for 10 weeks and $20,000 for 18 weeks.
UW-Green Bay Study Abroad Scholarship Opportunities
UW-Green Bay is all about making education accessible. Part of that is making studying abroad accessible through scholarships. Search through our scholarships to offset your cost.
