Sport, Exercise & Performance Psychology Practicum
Strengthen your Experience
Practicum allow you to apply what you’ve learned in class.
Partnerships with community organizations provide opportunities to explore your career options and build your experience to achieve your professional goals. Our partners include the UW-Green Bay Athletics, Prevea Health, Aurora BayCare and Bellin Health, just to name a few. If you choose the applied track, you’ll complete a pre-practicum class and two semesters of practicum.
Practicum Requirements
What you'll need to do to get credit.
Practicum consist of being on site 6 to 10 hours per week in addition to preparation and reflection tasks. You’ll also attend group supervision meetings each week and monthly individual supervision meetings with your supervisor. All practicum students have required class time to gain ideas, feedback and other tools from peers and supervisors. Commitment to multiple meetings, on-site presentations and individual sessions is expected. For more information, consult the student handbook.
Community Partners
One unique advantage of our program being located in Northeastern Wisconsin is the amount of organizations that give our students opportunities to get hands-on experience.
Learn Then Apply
"The program is structured so that the first year you learn the material, then the next year you apply it. The faculty is well connected to the community and helps us get that real-world experience. "
