Embark on a flexible and affordable journey toward a nursing career with UW-Green Bay and NWTC. Our collaborative, four-year program offers you a path to earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). With a BSN, you'll not only enhance patient care but also empower individuals to reclaim their health.
Admissions
Applications are accepted beginning October 1st and accepted until the cohort (24 students) is full.
College Life
Enjoy a traditional college experience with the option to live on campus, even while you're attending NWTC.
Nurse 1-2-1 Process
Leave the details to us. We offer a seamless transition between colleges. NURSE 1-2-1 students are automatically accepted into the NWTC ADN program. Your dedicated advisor will guide you as you complete courses.
Year 1
Begin taking general education and nursing support courses during your first year at UW-Green Bay.
Years 2 & 3
In Years 2 and 3, you'll attend NWTC and complete an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN). You must maintain a 3.0 GPA during these years to continue in the program. After that, you can work as a registered nurse after passing the nursing licensure exam and while completing your BSN.
Year 4
Finish your degree at UW-Green Bay! Year 4 features asynchronous online courses with an onsite community health practicum arranged in an agency in your area. Our expert faculty will arrange your practicum site based on your preferences.

Affordable Tuition
Both UW-Green Bay and NWTC boast high-quality education at an affordable cost. During Year 1, you'll pay UW-Green Bay tuition. During Years 2 and 3, you'll pay NWTC tuition. Then, in Year 4, you'll pay BSN@Home tuition rates. Check with your employer for tuition reimbursement options during year 4.

1Program Eligibility Requirements
This program is designed for high school seniors. To be eligible for the Nurse 1-2-1 program, you must meet the following requirements:
- High school diploma with GPA of 3.0 or higher at time of application.
- If available, minimum ACT composite score of 22; English of 21; math of 22; science of 22 at time of application.
- Admission to UW-Green Bay.
Preferred Eligibility Criteria
- Three high school science courses such as biology, chemistry or anatomy and physiology with a grade of B or better.
- High school math courses including algebra, geometry and advanced algebra with a grade of B or better.
- Completion of a Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) approved nursing assistant course (required prior to Year 2).
- Start ADN courses.
- Related volunteer or healthcare work experiences.
- Ability to speak a language other than English.
2Application Process
- Apply to UW-Green Bay as a pre-nursing student.
- Complete the NURSE 1-2-1 Application Form using your UW-Green Bay student username, password and ID number.
The application opens October 1, and applications are accepted until the program is full (24 students). If you submit the Nurse 1-2-1 application by January 1, you'll be notified by January 15. Applications received after January 1 will be reviewed as space allows.
