Donna M. Dacey
Donna Mae (Lankford) Dacey, 89, Allouez resident, passed away December 25, 2014. She was born on September 2, 1925 in La Crosse to the late William "Bud" and Alda (Tewalt) Lankford. After graduating from La Crosse Central, she worked for the Trane Company in the stenography pool. She married William H. Dacey on December 7, 1946. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2003. Donna retired from UWGB as the Assistant Bookstore Manager where she was the textbook buyer. She loved to golf, garden, exercise and bake apple desserts. She had a strong faith, and loved her family. Her favorite activity was shopping with her sisters.
Donna is survived by two daughters, Dyanne (Stan) Dacey Williams, Austin, TX; and Debra (Steve) Dacey Smith, Green Bay; grandson, Connor Smith; sisters, Doris Lankford, La Crosse; and Betty (Peter) Lankford Bush, Door County; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Donna was preceded in death by her sister, Lee Ann Seymour; and her brother, Buddy Lankford.

Passing of Donna Dacey

The Log notes the passing of a familiar figure from the early days of the Phoenix Bookstore — Donna Dacey of Allouez, who passed away Dec. 25 at the age of 89. Dacey was the longtime assistant manager and textbook director for the bookstore. She retired from the University in 1992. Preceded in death by her husband, William, in 2003, Dacey is survived by two daughters, Dyanne Williams of Austin, Tex., and Debra Dacey Smith of Green Bay. Private services will be held at a later date.
