President: Daniel Spielmann

Academic Staff Emeritus, Chancellor's Office
Dan retired in 2015 after 36 years of service at UW-Green Bay. He held a number of administrative positions, including Athletic Director, University Counsel, and Chief of Staff to the Chancellor. He also taught a number of courses for the Business Administration Department. Dan currently serves as President of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Wildlife Sanctuary Board.

Vice President: Pat Przybelski

Pat began her employment at UW-Green Bay in 1970 after graduating from NWTC. She held various campus positions which included work in the Duplicating Center, the Television Production Center, and Arts and Humanities. Pat spent the last fifteen years as the program assistant in the Secretary of the Faculty and Academic Staff office until retiring in 2009.

Secretary:  Chris Sampson

Academic Staff Emeritus, Marketing and Communications

Chris retired in 2016 after a 30-year career in the University’s marketing and communication office, most recently as director of communications. His responsibilities included public relations, news releases, the Inside UW-Green Bay magazine, daily newsletters, media relations, special events scripting and editorial support to the University’s leadership team. He also assisted with UW System and legislative relations, and with promotional writing for major fundraising campaigns at UW-Green Bay.

Treasurer:  Frank Madzarevic

Frank retired this past summer (2011) after more than three decades of services with the Athletics Program, most recently as Facility Planner for the Kress Events Center. He is a proud alum of the University earning his undergraduate degree in 1977 in Regional Analysis.

Kevin Fermanich

Professor Emeritus, Natural and Applied Sciences

Kevin retired in 2022 after more than 30 years of service at UW System institutions, including 24 years of teaching courses in Environmental Science and Geoscience, and mentoring graduate students in Environmental Science and Policy at UW-Green Bay.   He remains active with several local partner organizations working on monitoring and restoration of the Green Bay watershed.

Ken Fleurant 

Professor Emeritus of Humanistic Studies

Ken retired in 2006 after 36 years teaching courses in French, Humanities and Liberal Education Seminars. He served as chair of Literature and Language as well as Humanistic Studies and finished his active years at UWGB as Secretary of the Faculty and Academic Staff. He is a past president of the Retiree Association and manager of the retiree listserv.

Craig Lockard

Professor Emeritus, Social Change and Development

Craig Lockard joined the UWGB faculty in 1975 and retired in 2009. During his career he taught courses on Asian, African, and world history as well as interdisciplinary courses for the Social Change and Development and History programs, serving both at various times as Chair, and International Studies, for which he was the founding Coordinator. Since retirement he has maintained his active involvement in several international, national, and regional scholarly organizations, served on editorial boards, evaluated manuscripts, reviewed books, and published the 4th edition of his world history textbook.

Kathy Pletcher

Academic Staff Emerita, Associate Provost for Information Services

Kathy retired in 2012 after a 35-year career. Her last fifteen years she was the Associate Provost for Information Services and Chief Information Officer with responsibilities for library services, instructional technology, enterprise systems, networking and telecommunications, help desk and web services.  Following retirement, Kathy joined MOR Associates as a leadership coach working to develop the next generation of IT leaders in higher education. She remains active in state-wide library advocacy work. 

Jeanellyn Schwarzenbach

Senior Lecturer Emerita, Information and Computing Science

Jeanellyn first connected with the university when she came to Green Bay with her late husband, Dr. Richard Christie, in 1972.  She was president of and active in The University League for many years and acted and directed for community theater groups and the UWGB's Theater Department.  Jeanellyn began teaching communication courses at the UWGB in 1981 and continued teaching various courses until her retirement in 2015.  She now is a member of the antiquarian society of Green Bay and enjoys classes and activities.

John Stoll

Professor Emeritus, Economics

John retired in 2023 after 32 years teaching at UW-Green Bay and a prior stint of 12 years of teaching primarily graduate students and doing research at Texas A&M University. Over his 44-year academic career, his primary focus in research and teaching was upon the economics of environmental issues. While at UW-Green Bay, he led the Center for Public Affairs, chaired the graduate program in Environmental Science and Policy, chaired the Public and Environmental Affairs Department as well as the Economic program, and received the Austin E. Cofrin Professorship in Management.

Jane Rank, Chair 

Academic Staff Emerita, Safety and Risk Manager

Jane Rank retired in 2009 after more than 19 years of service coordinating campus safety and environmental compliance, and managing campus risk management programs. As current chair of the Oral History Committee, she is actively involved with capturing the voices and remembrances of retired administration, faculty and staff, and former students and community members who have supported the University throughout the years.
