Cathode Ray Tubes (CRTs)

A high-vacuum tube in which cathode rays produce a luminous image on a fluorescent screen, used in televisions and computer terminals.

Compact Discs

Often referred to as a CD, a small plastic disc on which music or other digital information is stored, and from which the information can be read using reflected laser light.

Data Communication Hardware

Computer hardware devices used to establish, maintain, and terminate communication network sessions between a data source and its destination.

Floppy Disks

A flexible removable magnetic disk for storing data.

Memory Chips

An integrated circuit made of millions of capacitors and transistors that can store data or can be used to process code. Memory chips are found in digital camera secure data cards, USB flash memory sticks, cellphones, pagers, and scanners.

Non-PCB Capacitors/Ballasts

The green “no PCBs” label means that equipment does not contain PCBs at any concentration.

PCB Capacitors

Manufactured through 1979, PCB capacitors were commonly used in the small capacitor within fluorescent light ballasts.

Scanners

A device that captures images from photographic prints, posters, magazine pages, and similar sources for computer editing and display.

Toner Cartridges

Also called a laser toner, is the consumable component of a laser printer.
