Bulbs/Lamps

Fluorescent Bulbs / CFLs

A glass tube which radiates light when phosphor on its inside surface is made to fluoresce by ultraviolet radiation from mercury vapor. Commonly found in things like sconces, ceiling lights, and table lamps.

HID Lamps

Also known as high-intensity discharge lamps are a type of electrical gas-discharge lamp which produces light by means of an electric arc between tungsten electrodes housed inside a translucent or transparent fused quartz or fused alumina arc tube. These lamps are often used in things like streetlights, gymnasiums, warehouses, large retail facilities, stadiums, and plant growing rooms.

Incandescent Bulbs

An electric light with a wire filament heated until it glows typically used in table lamps, hallway lighting, closets, accent lighting, and chandeliers.

Lamp Ballasts

The functional heart of a fluorescent or HID light source.

LEDs

A light-emitting diode is a semiconductor device, which can emit light when an electric current passes through it. LEDs are commonly used in streetlights, parking garages, walkway, and other outdoor area lights, and refrigerated case lighting.

Neon Lamps – mercury containing

A gas-discharge lamp in which the electrical discharge takes place through a mixture of gases containing large portion of neon. These are typically found in industrial applications like security equipment, roadways, and sports areas.
