Qiushan Liu
Dr. Qiushan Liu is an Assistant Professor of Psychology. She earned her PhD in Developmental Psychology from Florida State University, where she worked under the mentorship of Dr. David Braithwaite. Her research focuses on the role of cognitive and affective factors in math problem-solving and learning. Her earlier work examined the impact of executive function on students' ability to solve math problems in areas such as rational number arithmetic and algebra. Currently, she is interested in further exploring how strategies are selected during math problem-solving and the factors that influence these choices.
Dr. Liu has had the privilege of working with many talented undergraduate students at her previous institution, and she is excited to continue mentoring students at UW-Green Bay. She looks forward to providing opportunities for students to engage in research, present their findings at conferences, and contribute to manuscripts for publication.
