
Aaron Weinschenk
Aaron Weinschenk is the Ben J. and Joyce Rosenberg Professor of Political Science at UW-Green Bay. He also serves as the Director of the Social Sciences and Public Policy domain within the College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences, which includes programs in criminal justice, environmental policy and planning, organizational leadership, political science, psychology, public administration and sociology & anthropology. Professor Weinschenk earned his Ph.D. in Political Science in 2013. His research focuses on political behavior, elections and political psychology. He has published approximately 60 peer-reviewed journal articles in outlets such as the British Journal of Political Science, Political Research Quarterly, American Politics Research and Political Behavior, along with a book on elections. Professor Weinschenk has also served as an expert witness on legislative redistricting at the state supreme court level.

Research
Dr. Weinschenk’s research focuses on political behavior in the United States. More specifically, he is interested in understanding why some people are very involved in politics while others are not, how psychological and biological traits influence political behavior, and how campaigns influence voters during elections. To date, Dr. Weinschenk has published approximately 60 peer-reviewed articles in journals within political science (e.g., British Journal of Political Science, Political Research Quarterly, Political Behavior, American Politics Research) and psychology (e.g., Social Psychological and Personality Science, Personality and Individual Differences).
