Concealed / Dangerous Weapons
The Wisconsin Administrative Code at UWS 18.10(3) prohibits a person from carrying, possessing or using any dangerous weapon on university lands or in university buildings or facilities, unless it is for law enforcement purposes or the person receives written approval of the chief administrative officer. Chapter 18 permits police to confiscate and remove dangerous weapons from university lands. To the extent Chapter 18 is consistent with Wisconsin Act 35, we will continue to follow and enforce Chapter 18.
If you see a person who is not a police officer carrying a weapon at UW-Green Bay please contact University Police at 920-465-2300 extension 1 or dial 911 (or 9911 from a campus phone).
We recommend you think "safety first" and please call police. Please do not approach or challenge the person you believe to be armed with a weapon. Our police officers are trained to react appropriately to those legally or illegally carrying weapons.

Hoverboards
It is believed that the safety and fire concerns recently associated with self-balancing boards, commonly referred to as Hoverboards, is cause for concern. Their use on campus and presence inside of all campus buildings (including Residence Life) is prohibited at this time.
No person shall operate an unauthorized motor vehicle or motorized device, including motorcycles, mopeds, motor scooters and self-balancing transportation devices, off designated roadways, paved or unpaved, or on service roads or pedestrian paths, regardless of the surface, on university lands. This does not apply to motorized wheelchairs or other mobility devices which have the primary design function of assisting the physically challenged.
Currently, hoverboards are not "street legal" and therefore cannot be operated on our roadways. They are also prohibited on service roads or pedestrian paths.
