Achieving your educational dreams takes money—and we're here to help.

There are a number of emergency funds available to students who qualify. If you have not already, please fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), which determines if there is financial aid available to help you with your expenses.

Emergency Funding

We accept emergency grant applications related to expenses for the term currently in session. 

Phoenix Emergency Grant

The Phoenix Emergency Grant is available to all UW-Green Bay students, regardless of home campus. Funds awarded do not need to be repaid, but they may be subject to federal tax reporting.

To meet the minimum requirements for any emergency funding, you must:

  • Be currently enrolled at UW-Green Bay as a degree-seeking, full-time or part-time student
  • Be experiencing an unexpected financial hardship
  • Have overdue tuition charges or having difficulties paying expenses

Application Process

Applications will be reviewed quickly and a decision will be made and your will receive a response in your UW-Green Bay email within five business days of submission. Some students may be eligible for state funding, in which case our office will contact you so you can finish the process.

  • Need help filling out the form? Use our guide on How To Request Emergency Funding (pdf)
  • To continue filling out a grant application you have previously saved, use the Form Login. When you log in, you will see a task list where you can open your application and continue working where you left off.
  • To create a new application for the grant, use the Phoenix Grant Request Form.
  • Be sure to select "logoff" after submitting your completed grant application. 
  • To check the status of your application, select “Running Processes.”
