The UW-Green Bay Personal Financial Planning Program and Charles Schwab Center for Financial Wellness introduce Financial Planning Day. This day-long event provides company representatives and financial planning students with a structured opportunity to get to know each other and mutually advance their aspirational career objectives. Networking between firms, students and educators advances the financial planning profession.

David Mesa
David Mesa, RICP®, CLTC®, Founder & CEO of Mesa Wealth Management

"Charting Your Course to Success" is a story and guidance for the resilient pursuit of achieving success in wealth management through the lens of Mr. David Mesa.

David Mesa grew up in Colombia, South America, and moved to Marshfield, Wisconsin, at 12. He attended the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay and graduated in 2012. He and his wife Vanessa met freshman year at UWGB and have three children.

David started his financial planning practice through an internship with Northwestern Mutual during his senior year at UWGB. He is now the Founder & CEO of Mesa Wealth Management, utilizing Northwestern Mutual as his broker-dealer. Mesa Wealth Management manages 650 client households and $170M in client assets.

Registration Deadlines

  • Tuesday, September 3: Employer deadline to register for event and interviews
  • Tuesday, September 24: Student Priority deadline for matching you with interviewers.
  • Tuesday, October 8: Student Final deadline to register for event

University Attendees

Financial planning students from UW-Green Bay and area universities are encouraged to attend. Registration is free for all students and their faculty and staff mentors.
