Dr. Tamara Wang brings 20 years of rich professional experience to her role as an assistant teaching professor at the University of Wisconsin Green Bay. Her career is profoundly anchored in the high-intensity realm of Level One trauma centers affiliated with esteemed medical schools such as the University of Michigan, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, and Indiana University. This journey through the pinnacle of medical excellence has endowed her with comprehensive expertise in specialized areas, including Cardiac, Neuro, Vascular, Cardiothoracic Transplant, Open Heart, and Trauma Operating Rooms. Additionally, Tamara possesses deep insights into Nursing Education, Management, and Administration. Her academic foundation is as diverse as it is extensive. Tamara holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) and a Master’s in Nursing Leadership and Management. Moreover, her Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Applied Ethics, complemented by minors in English, Literature, and Writing, has equipped her with critical thinking and ethical perspectives that enhance her holistic approach to nursing and healthcare education. Tamara is also a clinical and lab coordinator at UWGB. She currently serves as the Vice President of the Sigma Theta Tau division at UW-Green Bay.   A few of her nursing research areas of interest include the utilization of nursing simulation to decrease anxiety in pre-licensure nursing students, improving lab skills in clinical nursing students, and improving the documentation and writing skills of nursing students.  Her passion for nursing, education, and academia is represented by the committees she serves at UW-Green Bay:  Faculty Senate, Institutional Ethics Committee, Academic Staff Professional Development Allocations Committee, and the Institutional Student Misconduct Committee.
