NERR Site Evaluation Committee

The primary charge of the NERR Site Evaluation Committee is to recommend a final site for nomination to the Site Coordination Committee. This process will include

Agreeing upon the evaluation process by which the NERR Site Selection Criteria will be used to recommend the Final Site Nomination
Applying the accepted evaluation process and Site Selection Criteria to derive a recommended Final Site Nomination.
When the State Lead, the Governor’s Office, and NOAA agree on the general location of the Final Site Nomination, the Committee will delineate the proposed NERR boundaries, including appropriate “core” and “buffer” areas within.
