University Singers
Good news! If you’ve got a passion for singing, you’re welcome to audition for the University Singers – it’s open to students from any major. You’ll perform a high quality repertoire drawn from a variety of periods and styles. We work on developing good choral tone, strengthening musical skills and fostering a comprehensive understanding of the literature studied.
Concert Choir
The Concert Choir is one of our more challenging ensembles, as it’s the premier choral ensemble here at UW-Green Bay. Membership is determined by a rigorous audition with an emphasis on sight-reading skills. The repertoire, drawn from a wide variety of periods and styles, is extremely challenging and requires a great deal of individual preparation.
Chamber Singers
Chamber Singers is an auditioned select choral ensemble open to all students. Its repertory consists of music suitable for small chamber choirs, including Renaissance Madrigals, Chansons and Lieder, Romantic Part-songs and selected music from other style periods.
Opera/Musical Theatre
Sing your heart out and join the Opera/Musical Theatre Workshop. Designed for singing actors, you’ll perform opera and musical theatre scenes and smaller-scale operas. Some of the recent performances included highlights from Cosi Fan Tutte, The Magic Flute by W.A. Mozart and a full production of Dido and Aeneas by Henry Purcell. Even if you’re not a music major, you’re still welcome to join! It’s open to any student by audition.
