Mission, Goals & Objectives

Mission Statement

The UW-Green Bay Master of Science in Nutrition and Integrated Health program integrates graduate level interdisciplinary courses with supervised experiential learning to prepare graduates for practice as Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, who incorporate evidence-based research knowledge and skills to address complex food and nutrition-related health issues in an inclusive manner to meet the needs of diverse populations. This program will foster the importance of leadership and continuing professional education through life-long learning.

Program Goals

Goal 1

Prepare program graduates to be competent entry-level Registered Dietitian Nutritionists, able to meet the expanding nutrition and food-related employment needs of the region and beyond.

Objectives for Goal 1:

• At least 90% of program graduates will maintain a first-time pass rate on the CDR credentialing exam. (Program objective)
• Scores on the CDR credentialing exam will be at or above the national average for the total score and nutrition sub-score for at least 75% of program graduates. (Program objective)
• “The program’s one-year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration exam within one year of first attempt) on the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%.” (ACEND® required objective)
• “At least 80% of program graduates complete program/degree requirements within 3 years (150% of the program length).” (ACEND® required objective)
• “85% of program graduates take the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion.” (ACEND® required objective)

Goal 2

Prepare program graduates instilled with the desire and skills for professional growth, leadership roles and evidence-based practice to effectively address nutrition and food-related health issues.

Objectives for Goal 2:

• “Of graduates who seek employment, 80% are employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation.” (ACEND® required objective)
• At least 60% of program graduates who respond to survey will report utilizing an evidence-based practice approach to stay up-to-date in their professional work. (Program objective)
• At least 50% of program graduates who respond to survey will report involvement in opportunities that support professional growth and leadership, such as taking on a mentorship role, serving in a leadership position within a professional or community organization or involvement in another capacity that demonstrates leadership. (Program objective)
