Multicultural Resource Center Student Organizations

All of the organizations that call our office home offer opportunities to affirm and share your own culture, learn about other cultures, gain leadership skills that can be developed through co-curricular activities, and get involved in the campus at-large in the context of a supportive environment. Please note that you don't need to be a of a certain ethnic or gender affinity to join.

Black Student Union

The purpose of the Black Student Union (BSU) celebrates and supports the Black experience through providing academic and social support, developing cultural awareness and discussing both historical and contemporary achievements and challenges throughout Black History.

Intertribal Student Council

Intertribal Student Council (ISC) educates the UW-Green Bay Campus and community about Indigenous culture, issues affecting Indigenous populations and leadership. We strive to engage Indigenous people in all stages of life, most importantly academic achievement, while maintaining seven generations teachings.

Men of Color Alliance

The Men of Color Alliance (MOCA) is an organization that strives to create a safe place for minority men and to unite them under the common objective of changing the negative stereotypes that society places upon them. The club provides its members with the tools of becoming Men of Purpose and Excellence by emphasizing its core values such as, education, integrity, leadership, mentorship, perseverance, and brotherhood.

Multiracial Student Union

Multiracial Student Union (MSU) is an organization dedicated to providing a safe, open environment for people who identify as (but not limited to) biracial, multiracial, mixed, multi-ethnic and/or transracial-adoptee at UW-Green Bay. MSU’s safe space is a chance for people who identify as multiracial to come together and share common experiences, as well as providing tools to articulate the experiences mixed people have. MSU also exists to educate and spread a greater understanding of the mixed heritage experience at UW-Green Bay as well as encourage self-exploration of cultural, ethnic and racial identity.

Muslim Student Association

The Muslim Students' Association (MSA) strives to build unity through diversity and education. Our goal is to provide programs for people of all backgrounds and to educate the students and faculty of the university about Islam as well as create an environment for Muslim students that follows Islamic guidelines.

Organización Latino Americana

The mission of La Organización Latino Americana (OLA) is to create an academic and social support system for, but not limited to, the Hispanic/Latinx students at UW-Green Bay. We strive to educate people about different Hispanic/Latinx cultures through fun activities and programs.

Somali Student Union

The Somali Student Union (SSU) is to encourage, provide guidance and help Somali students succeed academically, professionally and personally in and beyond college.

South Asian Student Alliance

The South Asian Student Alliance (SASA) of UW-Green Bay is dedicated to promoting cultural unity and awareness in the college community and among its members, in addition to the Green Bay community. The countries of South Asia are: Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Afghanistan, and Sri Lanka. The initiatives are to educate the UW-Green Bay of South Asian culture and heritage through educational, social and charity events as well as encourage students to learn and experience South Asian cultures. In addition, to gather student members and college community in addressing critical issues that face the South Asian community in the United States and internationally, and to provide an enjoyable atmosphere for UWGB students, faculty and staff members who are interested in South Asian culture.

Southeast Asian Student Union

The purpose for the Southeast Asian Student Union is to promote diversity among the campus and community. SASU is here to educate others about the Southeast Asian culture and to engage the campus with diverse activities and events.

Women of Color

Women of Color (WOC) is an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for women of color at UW-Green Bay. WOC exists to provide support academically, socially, spiritually and culturally, and serve as a positive role model to young women.

Leaders Igniting Transformation

Leaders Igniting Transformation is a youth of color led organization. LIT engages in values based issue and electoral organizing, direct action advocacy for public policy, and leadership development. On campuses and communities in Milwaukee's key communities, we organize young people to build independent political power for social racial and economic justice.
