About the Conductor

Jeremiah Eis

Lakeshore Wind Ensemble Conductor & Music Director
Jeremiah Eis is the Music Director & Conductor of the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble. An experienced educator, he currently teaches at Valders Middle School, and has held positions as a Band Teacher at Xavier Middle School, Director of the Sheboygan Area Youth Symphony (Concert Orchestra), and Assistant Professor of Music at Silver Lake College. Additionally, he has taught courses at St. Norbert College and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. His conducting experience in Northeast Wisconsin includes the Silver Lake Wind Ensemble, Silver Lake Jazz Ensemble, Manitowoc Marine Band, and the N.E.W. Wind Symphony.

An active low brass performer, he has performed with the 132D Army Band, Dorf Kapelle, Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra, Newtonburg Brass Band, Oshkosh Symphony Orchestra, Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, Wisconsin Symphonic Winds, and many others. Highlights of his career include performing with Marie Osmond, performing at Summerfest, being in a halftime show at Lambeau Field, and sitting in as a guest musician with the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

Jeremiah has been a featured soloist multiple times throughout his career, recorded compact discs, premiered works, had arrangements published, and received a Citation of Excellence from the National Band Association for conducting the Wisconsin Collegiate Honors Band.

Jeremiah holds degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, St. Norbert College, and the University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc. He is currently taking coursework towards a Doctor of Music Education degree, and is a graduate of the United States Army School of Music. As a Sergeant First Class in the Wisconsin Army National Guard, his military awards include the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Army Achievement Medal (2), Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (4), National Defense Service Medal, and a citation from the Wisconsin State Congress.

Paul Sucherman

Lakeshore Big Band Conductor
Sucherman is the Lakeshore Big Band Conductor and Music Director. He is also Associate Lecturer of Music at the UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus. He is the eldest son of two prominent Chicago performers and has two younger brothers who are both professional musicians (one as the drummer with acclaimed rock band STYX). After attending Northwestern University Prep School and DePaul University, he moved to Wisconsin to pursue theatrical directing, composing, and arranging. Sucherman has worked on cruise ships and Mississippi Paddleboats, the main stage of the Sahara in Las Vegas, in Europe, Mexico and the Caribbean, as well as all over the U.S. He has worked with or shared stages with TV's John O'Hurley (Seinfeld), Joe Piscopo (SNL), America's Got Talent finalist Sal Valentinetti, Maynard Ferguson, Count Basie, Reba McIntyre, Tim Allen, Pete Barbutti, Glenn Ash, Peewee Kershaw, and more. He routinely performs with Tony-nominated singer/actor Gregg Edelman and Sandy Hackett's Rat Pack Show. Sucherman has arranged strings for two Grammy award winning albums and has arranged music for countless acts on cruise ships and nightclubs. He has been active in regional musical theatre, directing countless shows and performs around the Midwest approximately 120-150 days a year.

Chris Woller

Assistant Conductor
Chris has been an active trumpet performer in the Lakeshore area for several years – over 20 of them have been with his wife Kristy in the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble! He has enjoyed working with a wide variety of groups, including chamber ensembles, the Manitowoc Symphony Orchestra, jazz ensembles in Sheboygan and Manitowoc (including the Lakeshore Big Band) and has played in the pit orchestra for many musicals. As a former band director, Chris is happy to have the opportunity to be Assistant Conductor for the LWE and LBB, and he looks forward to leading both groups for their annual Pops Concert each January.
