At the Kress Events Center, our swim lessons are designed to create a low-risk, engaging and supportive environment where children can develop essential swimming skills. Whether your child is just starting out or is a swimmer looking to refine their techniques, our program caters to all skill levels, fostering a love for swimming that will last a lifetime.

UWGB swim lessons are offered Monday through Thursday evenings during the fall and spring semesters. Choose from session times that work for you.

Swim Lesson Information

Space is limited, so register early to secure your spot. Registration opens 3 to 4 weeks before each session begins. To be added to the contact list for registration details, email Jeff Willems at willemsj@uwgb.edu.

Program Details

  • Private Lessons: Individualized instruction for focused skill development.
  • Age Groups: 3 years old & up
  • Lesson Length: 30 minutes
  • Frequency: Once a week for 11 weeks

  • Cost: $220 (paid in full at registration)

Make-up Lessons

Unfortunately, we cannot offer make-up lessons for any reason, except for instructor absence (in which case, an additional lesson will be provided).

Cancellations

If your child is unable to attend a lesson due to illness, please notify us by email (urec@uwgb.edu) or call the Kress Center Front Desk (920) 465-2449 as a courtesy. Please note, there are no refunds for cancellations.

Sign Up for Swim Lessons

Follow these steps to sign up for swim lessons at UW-Green Bay.

  1. Sign in to the UREC Portal. 
    If you don't have an account, select sign up and follow the prompts to create an account.
  2. Add family members to Your Profile.
    If you're signing your child up for swim lessons, add each new dependent you would like to sign up.
  3. Register for Private Swim Lessons
    Find a 30-min session that works for you and click "Register."
    Select the family member that you are signing up for that session and click “Register.”
    Add an emergency contact and all authorized pickup people. Click “Continue."
  4. Process Your Payment
    Click “Checkout” to process your payment and complete the registration.
