Our group fitness classes offer a way to ditch the solo sweat session and join a motivating, invigorating community. Our classes are led by certified instructors who will guide you through each workout, pushing you to reach your fitness goals in a fun and supportive environment. Whether you're looking for high-energy cardio, core strengthening or a relaxing yoga flow, we have a class for you!
All Levels
No experience? No problem! All group exercise classes are designed for varying levels of fitness and skill.
Gear Provided
We supply equipment. Just bring your ID card, your water bottle, clean exercise shoes and comfortable workout clothes.
No cost
Group exercise classes are included with your gym membership, which is free for students!
Class Schedule
Looking to find the perfect group exercise class to fit your schedule? We offer a variety of exciting options throughout the semester, typically running Monday through Friday from 7:15 a.m. to 8:45 p.m. However, class offerings vary during finals week and semester breaks.

Ready to sweat and have fun? Here's a breakdown of our popular group exercise classes. Imagine a room filled with positive energy and a healthy dose of endorphins. That's the magic of UREC Group Exercise Classes! No matter your fitness level, you'll find yourself surrounded by others who are there to push themselves and have a good time. Don't worry about feeling lost—our instructors will break down every move and keep you motivated throughout the entire class.
Arms & Abs
This class focuses on upper body and core exercises using a variety of equipment. It's a great way to define, sculpt and build lean muscle.
Aqua Fitness
Join us for a fun, shallow water exercise class! This workout uses the natural resistance and buoyancy of water to provide an effective, low-impact routine. This is a great class for all ages and fitness levels.
Butts & Guts
This class focuses on lower body and core exercises using a variety of equipment. It's a great way to define, sculpt and build lean muscle.
Dance Cardio
Fun dance workout to your favorite songs! Includes kickboxing elements with easy-to-follow steps.
Pilates
Controlled movement performed on a mat or standing designed to strengthen the core "powerhouse." It improves flexibility, strength, endurance, range of motion and posture.
Relaxation Yoga
This class is designed to open the body with gentle, slow, and traditional yoga postures and movements. After some gentle movement, the class will transition to a restorative practice with deeper stretches, and relaxation techniques to de-stress and calm your mind and body.
Sunrise Yoga
Greet the day! This flow yoga class is designed to kick-start your morning with a positive attitude. We'll move through sun salutations, standing poses, balance challenges and seated stretches to wake up your body and mind. Leave feeling energized, focused, and ready to conquer the day.
Yoga
This versatile yoga flow class is perfect for all levels, whether you're looking for a gentle practice or an invigorating workout. We'll move through sun salutations, standing poses, balance work and seated stretches to improve flexibility, strength, and connect your movements to your breath. This class is open to all levels. Modifications are offered throughout the class, allowing you to tailor the practice to your needs.
Zumba®
We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba® classes are often called exercise in disguise.
