Essential Job Functions
The Department of Business Administration in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for a teaching faculty position in Supply Chain Management and Logistics to contribute to its growing undergraduate and new Master's program in Supply Chain Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a range of supply chain management courses such as Logistics Management, Advanced Inventory Management and Risks in Supply Chains, Supply Chain and Operations Analytics, Professional Projects, and Advanced Project Management, at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The Cofrin School of Business values university-level teaching experience, the ability to teach a variety of general business and discipline-specific courses, a commitment to continual learning and knowledge sharing, and engagement in institutional, community, and professional service. We are seeking applicants with exceptional pedagogical skills and a strong commitment to teaching excellence.
The successful applicant will contribute to a young, growing, forward-looking college and department embedded within Wisconsin's third largest metropolitan area and one of the nation's largest hubs for logistics and manufacturing. This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay's mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.
What You'll Do
This position includes the following responsibilities:
- Teach a range of foundational and advanced supply chain management courses, contributing to UW-Green Bay's rapidly growing business school, and supply chain management and logistics undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Perform intellectual activities, service, and professional engagement consistent with the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business expectations for an Assistant Teaching Professor.
- Mentor students to increase professional development, career advancement, and engagement in experiential learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom.
- Perform institutional and community service.
- Contribute to ongoing program development within the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business.
- Participate fully in the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business AASCB accreditation efforts.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Business or closely related field, with a specialization in Supply Chain Management and Logistics at time of application
- Significant professional experience in the area of Supply Chain Management and Logistics outside of the higher education sector
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in scholarship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Disciplinary expertise in a professional context within logistics, transportation, or warehousing
- Possessing a combination of previous teaching and practical work experience
- Professional certification related to Supply Chain Management and Logistics
- Knowledge and expertise on supply chain and operations analytics

Conditions of Appointment
The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to teach a course or work at the Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs. Courses will be taught both face-to-face and online (in asynchronous and synchronous formats) and the specific courses taught may vary from semester to semester
Position is a full-time, academic year, Instructional Academic Staff appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Compensation and Benefits
SALARY INFORMATION
Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
BENEFIT DETAILS
The UW System provides an excellent benefits package to meet the diverse needs of its employees. This includes several health insurance options, with annual deductibles as low as $250/individual and $500/family. Our benefits package also includes dental, vision, several life insurance options, AD&D and Accident insurance and Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts. We participate in the Wisconsin Retirement System (WRS), where employer contributions begin immediately and employees are fully vested after 5 years of service. The UW System also provides supplemental retirement savings programs including a 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.
In addition, employees receive several types of paid leave benefits, which are prorated for employees working less than 100%. This includes 9 legal holidays, 36 hours of personal holiday and between 96-130 hours of sick leave annually. Employees earn 13-27 days of vacation each year, depending on years of service and employment type.
