Essential Job Functions
The Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay seeks applicants for the Manager of the newly established Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (IEI). The position carries the title of Assistant Teaching Professor. In coordination with the IEI Advisory Board and Department of Business Administration, the Manger will be responsible for actionizing high impact, experiential learning opportunities that expand student and community entrepreneurship across UW-Green Bay. Successful candidates will leverage coursework, programs, events, student competitions, and partnerships with TitletownTech, the Greater Green Bay Chamber, and other partners to engage learners from academic programs internal and external to the Cofrin School of Business, such as the Resch School of Engineering. Applicants must have significant professional experience in entrepreneurship.
What You'll Do
- Teach courses in Entrepreneurship, Small Business Management, and General Business, including courses such as Entrepreneurial Finance, Design Thinking and Business Model Development, and MVP and Product Development.
- Collaborate with faculty colleagues and community partners on high impact student experiences, such as student competitions related to entrepreneurship and innovation. Building and leveraging relationships with successful leaders from the start-up community to enhance the student learning experience is required.
- Perform intellectual activities, service, and professional engagement consistent with the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business expectations for a Teaching Professor.
- Mentor students to increase professional development, career advancement, and engagement in experiential learning opportunities inside and outside the classroom (e.g., student organizations, fieldtrips, etc.,).
- Contribute to the ongoing programmatic development of the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business and participate fully in AACSB accreditation efforts.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree in Business or related discipline, at time of application
- Evidence of a demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching
- 5 years of relevant professional experience in business creation or intrapreneurship
- Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bilingual, preferably in Spanish, Hmong, Somali, or Oneida
- Entrepreneurial experience in the Northeast Wisconsin area

Conditions of Appointment
The home campus of this position is Green Bay and the successful candidate may occasionally be required to teach a course or work at the Sheboygan or Manitowoc Campus, based on operational needs.
Position is a full-time, 9-month academic year, Instructional Academic Staff appointment. Official transcripts of the highest degree achieved will be required of finalist(s). A criminal conviction investigation will be conducted on the finalist(s). Compensation and Benefits
SALARY INFORMATION
Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
This position is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
