Prioritize Your
Wellness

Health insurance covers the unexpected.

It’s hard to be a successful student if you get sick or injured. Maybe you were playing disc golf on campus and rolled your ankle. Or you've got a cold you just can't beat. Or you simply want to take charge of your health and get a check-up. Whatever you need, health insurance reduces the cost of medical services. Because health insurance is required, the charge will be automatically added to your account. You can also choose to purchase additional coverage through individually arranged companies.

Where Should I Go?

Depending on the severity of your health concerns, you'll choose a different place to go for care.

Wellness Center

If you sprained your ankle or have a cold, visit the Wellness Center. Here, you can access low cost medical services, counseling sessions and resources to be healthy.

Find an In-Network Doctor

Have a health concern that's not pressing? Make sure when you're setting up an appointment with a doctor, they're in network.

Visit Urgent Care

Urgent cares are same-day clinics that offer a variety of medical services. They can treat cuts that require stitches, minor fractures, persistent vomiting and more.

Go to the Emergency Room

This is the most expensive type of care and should be reserved for true life-threatening emergencies.

Get Vaccines

We recommend having the Meningitis, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) and tetanus vaccinations up to date. If you don't have them, they're available at the Health Center at UW-Green Bay. You'll also be screened for Tuberculosis after arriving to campus.

Access My Prevea Account

In August, you'll receive an email about setting up your MyPrevea Account for the clinic on campus. This account helps you set up appointments and get more information.

Under 18?

Please ask a guardian or parent to complete the Treatment of Minor Consent form. Then, forward the completed form to the representative at the Wellness Center.
