Downham Hall Staff

Each floor of Liebl Hall has a Resident Mentor (RM), a trained student who lives in the building and oversees about 30 students each. Their primary role is to help develop community on your floor or wing, but they also are trained in peer guidance, leadership development, crisis intervention and establishing community standards. Duty Staff

In the evening and on weekends, select Resident Mentors (RMs) are on duty to handle your after-hours needs and concerns. Roy Downham Hall has an assigned pair of RMs that oversee nearby buildings* each night. Resident Mentors are on duty from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. on school nights and 9 p.m. to 3 a.m Friday and Saturday. About Richard Liebl

Richard J. (Dick) Liebl, a lifelong resident of Brown County, was owner and president of Liebl Construction LLC, the construction company that developed 16 residence halls at UW-Green Bay since the mid-1980s.

Liebl was known for his dedication and professionalism in building quality, affordable housing for UW-Green Bay students. He has worked closely with University Village Housing, Inc. (UVHI), the private, nonprofit corporation that has financed the construction of residence halls at UW-Green Bay.

He served as an active member of the Green Bay community as a longtime member of the Home Builders Association, former president of the local chapter of the Great Lakes sport Fishermen, volunteer with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and as a founder of the Special Olympics Fish-O-Rama program.

Richard J. Liebl Hall brought the total on-campus housing capacity to about 1,800 students (at that time).

About Duane (Dewey) E. Schrader

The Dewey Schrader Living Learning Center, located on the first floor of the Richard Liebl Hall, provides a meeting and gathering place to promote collaboration and community learning, special events and activities and small group meetings.

Duane E. (Dewey) Schrader and his civic spirit helped him to become an early and influential advocate of student housing at UW-Green Bay. As vice president-business banking for Associated Bank in the 1980s, Schrader led the effort to involve Green Bay Bank in supporting University village Housing, Inc. and the construction of residence halls at UW-Green Bay. His community activities have also included leadership positions with Options for Independent Living, the Optimist Club of Green Bay and its foundation and the Service Corps of Retired Executives.
