"I use accessory minerals to investigate tectonic processes. This includes U-Pb geochronology, Lu-Hf and trace element geochemistry of zircon and titanite obtained from igneous and metamorphic rock; and provenance analysis using heavy mineral assemblages of sedimentary units. I also integrate whole rock petrography and geochemistry into these techniques.  Some current research projects include:  Zircon petrochronology of the Penokean orogeny, especially of the Marshfield terrane; mapping and crustal evolution of the Bighorn and Wind River ranges, Wyoming; Applications of petrography and heavy mineral analysis to sandstone provenance."
