UW-Green Bay GEAR UP is excited to offer three brand new camps for summer 2025! Check out the offerings below and be sure to pay close attention to eligible grade levels. Grade levels are based on student's grade as of the 2024-2025 school year.

Animation Exploration

Grades 9-11

Stop-motion animation is a great way to explore the art and design of storytelling. Use your digital fabrication skills to create sets, props and characters that come to life one frame at a time! Students will use a smartphone to capture their creation so that they can show it off long after camp ends!

Students without a smartphone are still encouraged to register!

Lego Robotics

Grades 6-8

Join us for Lego Robotics Camp where you can get your hands on the newest Lego Spike Prime Kits! Campers will build a Lego robot and learn basic coding using Scratch, an intuitive coding language. Campers will test out Spike Prime's new sensors, part of the components that make robots work. With the basics down, campers will put their robots to the test in a series of challenges!

Printmaking & Experimental Photography

Grades 10-12

It's time to put your art skills to the test with two brilliant faculty from the UW-Green Bay Art Department! Half the day will be spent in the darkroom learning the science behind photographic emulsions and creating unique works of experimental photography. The second half of the day, students will use upcycled materials to create two different printmaking masterpieces!

Step 1: Pre-Register

Students should start be completing the pre-registration form at the link below.

PLEASE NOTE: Preference will be given to new campers who have not attended camp with GEAR UP before. Returning campers will be put on a waitlist until June 1, 2025. At which time, if spots are available, they will be contacted and offered a spot at camp.

Step 2: Complete CampDocs

CampDocs is our camper information collection portal that you will gain access to after you submit your pre-registration in Step 1. This will collect information such as allergies, emergency contact information, medications and much more. Students are not fully registered and cannot attend camp until this profile is 100% complete. It is recommended that this step be completed with the assistance of a parent and/or guardian.

Our UWGB GEAR UP Camp Director, Ben, will be in contact with more information after we receive your submission from Step 1.
