Location is Key
Be hands on in local organizations and UW-Green Bay’s natural areas.
Strong partnerships with regional, state and federal agencies—including the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources and N.E.W. Water—translate to rich opportunities for you. You’ll interact directly with experts, doing lab and field research. Some of this hands-on experience can be done in UW-Green Bay’s natural areas, located across Brown, Manitowoc, Forest and Door counties.
Custom Design Your Grad Program
With both degree tracks and areas of focus, earning your degree is almost like a choose-your-own adventure. You don't need to select your track at the time of application; this can happen after starting and can be changed at any point.
Degree Tracks
Think of choosing your degree track as how you learn. You'll first choose your degree track before you choose your area of focus. Each track represents a different progress to your degree.
Areas of Focus
Think of your area of focus as customizing what you learn. Different skills and concepts are developed in courses, and your courses are used to guide your area of focus.
- Animal Behavior and Ecology
- Conservation Biology and Ecological Restoration
- Freshwater Ecology and Management
- Geoscience and Hydrogeochemistry
- Environmental Engineering and Remediation
