Getting Into Your UW-Green Bay Account
The steps below will walk you through how to access your UW-Green Bay account for the first time
Step 1: Set up your password
- Go to https://passwordreset.microsoftonline.com/
- Enter your UW-Green Bay email address provided by ECCP Coordinator in your orientation email. If you did not get an email, please contact eccp@uwgb.edu.
- Choose "I forgot my password" even though you don't have a password yet. The process for creating and resetting are the same.
- Choose your method of verification.
- Set up your new password, using this criteria:
- Must be a minimum of 14 characters and not exceed 32 characters
- Must be a mix of upper case, lower case, numbers and special characters
- Must be changed every 180 days
- Should not contain any personally identifiable information, such as user's first or last name
Step 2: Set up Okta Verify
- All UW-Green Bay students, faculty, and staff are required to use Okta Verify when logging into their account. Okta is a multifactor authenticator (MFA) that adds an additional level of security to your account.
- Okta has a free app available available for Apple and Android devices, including tablets. If you do not have an Apple or Android device, please contact the ECCP Office as soon as possible for alternate Okta options. The device you use for Okta should be a personal device you have access to at all times, including while at school. It should not be a device you share with anyone (ex. parent/guardian, sibling, etc...)
Please see this page from the GBIT Service Desk for links and step-by-step instructions for setting up and using Okta: https://servicedesk.uwgb.edu/TDClient/33/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=23
If you are having issues setting up your password or using Okta, please contact the IT Service Desk at 920-465-2309. They will help you schedule a Zoom meeting so they can verify your identity and then help you with your account.
Quick Links
Use the links below to quickly access the two most used platforms, Outlook email and Canvas.
Accessing Your Email
Use the link below to access your UW-Green Bay student Outlook Email. This is the email you should use when contacting your instructor.
NOTE: UW-Green Bay uses Microsoft Outlook, not Gmail, so you will not be able to log into your UWGB email through Google/Gmail.
Accessing Canvas
Use the link below to access Canvas, UW-Green Bay's digital learning platform.
All courses, regardless of modality (ex. online, in-person, via Zoom) utilize Canvas. This is also where dual enrollment students will access the Dual Enrollment New Student Orientation and Resources page.
Username vs. Email
Some logins require your username, and some require your full email address. Your username is the prefix to your email without the @uwgb.edu. Canvas uses your username, and UW-Green Bay uses your full email. You will use the same password for all logins.
