Enjoy Lifelong Learning

Lifelong Learning Institute is a volunteer-led program for adults interested in learning in retirement to expand your thinking, create vibrant new friendships and share exciting experiences. When you become a member, you are eligible for 15+ classes each spring and fall.

Whether you are nearing retirement, already retired, or beginning to develop a retirement plan, you can benefit from a wealth of real-world information and strategies for retirement success. This course focuses on how you may prepare for a comfortable retirement and introduces you to concepts and strategies that may help you handle your day-to-day finances, potentially reduce your taxes and manage your investments. What’s more, it will discuss how you can assess your current financial situation and develop a personalized plan that may help you pursue your retirement goals. The presenters teach the material in a way that is easy to understand, using real-life examples that may be applied to your situation. The course is presented in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere where your participation and questions are encouraged! In this course, you will learn:

  • How to calculate retirement needs
  • Setting financial and lifestyle goals
  • The importance of estate planning

Alexandra Spangler, CFP®

Alexandra believes in a holistic approach to financial planning and enjoys customizing portfolios specific to clients’ needs and goals with a specific interest in family, legacy, and estate planning.

Roger Klumb, CFP®

Roger is a Financial Advisor at Baird and a Certified Financial Planner™. He has been teaching retirement planning classes for over five years.

Charles Fry

Charles is a Financial Advisor at Baird and has been teaching retirement planning classes since 2021. He is currently studying to become a Chartered Market Technician to further enhance his investment capabilities.
