How to Participate in Commencement

There are many ways faculty and staff can take part in one or both of our commencement ceremonies.

Volunteer

Thank you for helping make this event memorable for students and families. Volunteers are needed for 2-4 hours.

All general faculty and staff are invited to process in one of the commencement ceremonies.

If you wish to attend as an audience member, you may request one ticket for the staff seating section.

Academic Program Chairs & Master's Candidates' Major Professors

All academic program chairs and master’s candidates’ major professors are expected to attend commencement. If you are unable, you must identify a substitute to represent your program. Please notify us of your attendance by completing the program chair and hooder sign up form by May 5, 2025.

Gown Rental Information

Academic apparel is required to participate in commencement. Apparel may be purchased or rented from the Phoenix Bookstore through March 24, 2025. You will receive an email once apparel rentals are available for pickup.
