Erin Giese (she/her/hers) is the Associate Director of the Cofrin Center for Biodiversity (CCB) and has worked at the CCB since 2011. Working closely with the CCB Director, she helps seek funding and provide direction for the administrative, academic, and outreach operations of the CCB. Using her extensive background in ornithology, wildlife monitoring, and project management, she serves as a principal investigator for the Great Lakes Coastal Wetland Monitoring Program, Oneida Bird Monitoring Program, and land management of UW-Green Bay natural areas. She administers the annual CCB Student Grant Program and Sager Scholarship, serves as the founding advisor for the campus student organization, UW-Green Bay Bird Club, and serves as president of Northeastern Wisconsin Bird Alliance. She truly enjoys working with CCB student employees and training them to become the next generation of scientists.

Erin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics (minor in Environmental Science and Policy) from the College of William and Mary and is a proud alumna of UW-Green Bay, where she earned a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science and Policy. Erin values her son, family, friends, equity, diversity, and inclusion above all else and enjoys sharing birds and wildlife with others.
