Course Description

This workshop is designed for mental health professionals who work with geriatric populations. This session is designed to be engaging and informative, providing attendees with some tools to navigate the complexities of maintaining boundaries and practicing ethically.

Learning Objectives: 

• Understand the importance of boundaries in the therapeutic relationship with older adults.
• Identify common boundary challenges when working with geriatric clients.
• Discuss ethical dilemmas specific to geriatric mental health care.
• Develop strategies for maintaining professional integrity and client dignity.
• Learn about the legal and ethical frameworks guiding geriatric mental health practice.

Todd Sigler, PsyD, LP, NCC

Dr. Todd Sigler is a licensed psychologist working in private practice in Roseville, MN.  Dr. Sigler has a Masters and Doctor degree from the University of Saint Thomas in Minneapolis, MN in Counseling Psychology.  Dr. Sigler has been in private practice since 2004.  He mainly provides Psychological Assessments for patients who all have cognitive deficits/problems/issues/disorders ranging in ages 6 to 100 years.  Dr. Sigler also maintains an individual therapy practice.
