Intensive DBT Therapy
Transform Your Practice
DBT training for human services.
We offer intensive DBT training for our county partners as well as to other interested agencies. In order to participate in our training, agencies must understand the commitment to providing DBT to fidelity and develop the internal structure to support all components of DBT treatment. For this reason, agencies must contact BHTP to participate.
Fees
Fee for the five-day training, which includes books, is $175 for BHTP full members and $799 for partial and nonmembers.
Continuing Education
Participants will receive 30 Continuing Education Hours for successfully completing this training.
Materials
BHTP will provide two textbooks to prepare you for this course: DBT Skills Training Manual (2nd Edition) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Borderline Personality Disorder, both by Marsha Linehan.
Get Ready to Learn!
This 5-day intensive training course offers a comprehensive exploration of DBT based on Marsha Linehan’s work. Participants will engage in mindfulness exercises to bookend each section, fostering a reflective learning environment. The course begins with an introduction to DBT, including its history, diagnosis and key statistics, followed by an in-depth look at the etiology and comorbidity of borderline personality disorder (BPD). Attendees will delve into the core skills of DBT, such as emotional regulation, interpersonal effectiveness, and distress tolerance, through interactive handouts and exercises. The training also covers the structure and purpose of consultation groups, motivational strategies, and practical therapy techniques, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of DBT’s application in clinical settings.
