Fundraising Resources

The Advancement Office serves as the fundraising arm of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. Its purpose is to “advance” the mission of the University through community relations and philanthropic support. All fundraising efforts conducted on campus should be brought to the attention of the Advancement Office. In doing so, the Advancement Office can help coordinate resources and work with our colleagues to develop a strategic fundraising plan that supports the mission and compliments the overall advancement initiatives for the University.

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Foundation furthers the mission of UW-Green Bay by developing and increasing opportunities for students, primarily in the areas other than those ordinarily supported by the State of Wisconsin. The Foundation engages philanthropy to solicit gifts and bequests, and to administer, use, or distribute these gifts for the benefit of UW-Green Bay and its students in the advancement of the University’s educational, charitable, and scientific purpose.

The UWGB Foundation - Fund for Excellence exists to support unrestricted charitable giving. Donors often state they want to give to where “it is most needed”. Given the nature of higher education, this is a moving target. The Fund for Excellence allows the Foundation staff and board of directors flexibility to support current campus needs.
