I have an unknown plant. It is creeping on bare sand at the edge of a lake in Forest County, looks to be a (small) mat former. Only one patch found. Very small, leaves are 4-6 mm long with spreading, septate hairs 1-1.4 mm long, on all surfaces. Leaves appear a little fleshy, but not strongly so. Grows right at the edge of the lake bed, now exposed by low water, right about at the drip line of the adjacent forest. No flowers, no buds, strictly vegetative. Apparently an escape from cultivation, but it is not near any homes, though there are many on this lake.
