Sclerochloa dura has only been reported from a few Wisconsin locations, but may be overlooked on some sites. The plants lay nearly flat on the ground and often grow with sparse weeds of disturbed, sunny habitats. Most known sites in nearby Michigan are associated with fairgrounds.
