Argentina anserina typically spreads over sunny, sandy sites by means of an extensive system of stolons. Leaves are pinnately compound, dark green above and bright whitish or silvery below. Flowers have 5 bright yellow petals. The most favorable sites for Argentina anserina are sandy beaches along Lake Michigan, sandy road shoulders in areas near Lake Michigan, and on sandy shores of some inland lakes.
