Healthcare Burnout

October 9
9 a.m.-12 p.m.
UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus

It’s no secret that American workers are facing tremendous challenges. Some of the most significant workplace stressors include extreme workloads, job insecurity, poor work-life balance, lack of control, inadequate compensation, unclear job expectations, workplace conflict, lack of support, discrimination, harassment and rapid changes in workplace technology.

Resilient individuals and teams have never been more vital to success. Without sustained, consistent resilience, organizations may not only become toxic, but they can also lose precious organizational health, integrity, and talent. Master performers have options and want environments where they can use their expertise to actualize the heights of their potential. A pandemic that oriented the world to the realities of our mortality also decreased tolerance for unnecessary impediments to healthy workplaces. If these experiences are consistent with what you face in your workplace, we’re excited to have you join us!

Instructor: Ben Biddick

Ben Biddick has spent decades navigating some of the most intense environments people can face. With experience as a combat medic in Iraq, as a nurse in correctional, military, and civilian environments, as a hostage/crisis negotiator, performing crisis intervention with suicidal and homicidal patients during the pandemic, training care partners and healthcare staff in de-escalation and quality care for patients suffering from dementia, Ben looks forward to helping you create thriving individuals and teams that lead organizations forward instead of setting them back. He’s co-author of the best-selling book "Get Up: The Art of Perseverance" with former Chicago Cub Adam Greenberg and has a master’s degree in Performance Improvement.
