The mission of Tri-Beta is to encourage undergraduate research, primarily through research awards and conferences. Because it is a honorary society, you must attain a specific G.P.A. to be eligible for membership. If you qualify, you will be contacted by Professor Brian Merkel, the organization's faculty advisor.

About the Organization
With over 200,000 lifelong members and 626 chapters throughout the U.S. and Puerto Rico, Tri-Beta is an honor society for undergraduate and graduate students. It was founded in 1922, became a national organization in 1925 and started BIOS, the society journal, in 1930.
