Our mission at the Registry is to ensure the well-being and safety of residents that live in Wisconsin's CBRF facilities. When you become an approved instructor, you play an integral role in fulfilling this mission by ensuring the required curriculum is consistently taught.

What to Expect
You can become an instructor in one or more of the four state-mandated course areas:
- Standard Precautions
- Fire Safety
- First Aid & Choking
- Medication Administration & Management
To become an instructor, you must meet one of the options for qualification criteria for each of the courses. Once you are approved you will receive access to training materials and guides for yourself and the participants.
Qualifications
You can be approved as an instructor if you are a licensed professional or have taken a Registry-approved Train-the-Trainer or have experience or relevant education in the course area.
Renewals
If you are approved as an instructor, you are approved for two years. After that, you must renew your approval every two years. You may renewal up to three months prior expiration.
Distance Learning Policy
If you need to use distance learning options, you must receive prior approval from the Registry.
Consultants
If you don't have the professional qualifications to qualify as an instructor, you can work with a training consultant to get approved.

For individuals who would like to take an approved Train-the-Trainer Program, contact one of the listed approved programs.
