Expand Your Experience
Opportunities to apply your knowledge give you a leg up in your career.
College isn’t just about grades–it’s also about the skills and practical experience you build in order to succeed in the workforce. In fact, 91% of employers surveyed by the Association of American Colleges and Universities said these experiences are vital to career success. Our ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Technology program emphasizes hands-on learning. You'll apply concepts learned in lectures on course projects and test them on laboratory experiments. In your senior year capstone class, you’ll collaborate with local companies on industry projects. Plus, our partnerships with community organizations give you better access to internship, co-op and job opportunities in the region.
Apply
Because we're ABET accredited, you'll get access to more career and higher education opportunities.
Rewarding
The median salary for our 2021 graduates was $60,000, which is about $10,000 over the national median—that means your salary will only rise as you build experience.
Valuable
At UW-Green Bay, we want to make higher education more accessible. That’s why we strive to keep tuition as low as possible.
Stand Out in an Ever-changing Field
Challenge yourself in an industry that evolves every day.
Major changes are happening within mechanical engineering technology: increased use of automation and robotics in manufacturing, the development of new and smart materials for use in engineering applications, the growing importance of sustainability and energy efficiency. Our program prepares you to adapt to these changes, solve practical engineering problems and enhance critical thinking.
Looking Toward Future
Our TEAM Labs support experimentation and innovation.
With state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories with advanced instrumentation and technology, our TEAM Labs give you the opportunity to get hands-on opportunities and collaborate with students from other disciplines. There are spaces for the physics program and student-run media and entertainment facilities, including radio, TV, news and gaming, in addition to these engineering labs:
- Electrical Circuits Lab - IS 1067
- Electronic Lab - IS 1063
- Automation Lab - IS 1043
- Electrical Machines Lab - IS 1047
- Senior Design Lab - IS 1071
